Coach Hire Ennis

Ennis is one of the easier Irish towns to bring a coach into. It has a dedicated coach park beside the centre and Coach Friendly Destination status, and it puts Shannon Airport, the Burren and the Cliffs of Moher all within an hour.

Friar's Walk Coach Park

The coach park at Friar's Walk, close to the glór arts centre, has 14 free coach spaces and a covered drop-off and pick-up shelter about 100 m from the town centre. There is water for washing coaches, waste-water disposal and 24-hour CCTV. A group stopping for lunch or a walk to Ennis Friary sets down and boards here.

Ennis holds Coach Friendly Destination status from the Coach Tourism and Transport Council of Ireland. Coach parking falls under bus park bye-laws, enforced by traffic wardens, so plan on the coach using the park rather than waiting on the street.

Shannon Airport on the doorstep

Shannon Airport is about 25 km south, around 20 to 25 minutes on the M18. That short run makes Ennis a practical first or last night for tours flying in and out of Shannon. Send flight numbers so the pickup follows the actual landing, and tell us if anyone needs extra time with luggage or mobility aids.

Cliffs of Moher and Doolin

The Cliffs of Moher are about 40 km away, roughly 45 minutes. Every coach arrival, and every party of ten or more, has to be booked in advance, so reserve the visit before the coach times are fixed and send us the booked arrival time.

Doolin, about 50 minutes from Ennis, is a traditional music village and a departure point for ferries to the Aran Islands. The Cliffs and Doolin make a natural pairing. If the group takes a ferry, give us the sailing out and back, since the coach has to be there when the boat returns.

The Burren, Bunratty and Galway

Poulnabrone Dolmen in the Burren's limestone landscape is about 30 km north, around 35 minutes. Bunratty Castle and Folk Park is off the N18 towards Limerick, about 20 minutes away, and suits a half-day. Galway is about 70 km, roughly an hour.

A Burren, Cliffs and Doolin loop keeps the driving moderate, but three or four stops stretch the day. Allow time at each for toilets and a headcount, and tell us if you want a late finish so the operator can check the driver's hours.
