Group Transport for Every Kind of Trip

Choose the kind of trip you are organising. Each page covers what that group usually needs and what to put in the request.

The group decides the details

A school trip needs a firm return time and a teacher counting heads at every stop. A sports team travels with kit and wants a set-down close to the ground. A wedding needs one pickup at the ceremony and a late run from the reception. A golf party needs room for clubs, and a corporate event often means repeated shuttles between hotel and venue. Tell us which it is and the operator plans around it.

Tours, pilgrimages and accessible travel

Day tours and pilgrimages often run long, with a site such as Knock Shrine or Glendalough at the far end. A passenger who uses a wheelchair needs an accessible vehicle, and the operator has to know the chair's size and whether the passenger moves to a seat.

What the rules require

  • Carrying more than 8 passengers for hire or reward requires a Road Passenger Transport Operator Licence
  • Passengers aged 3 or over must wear seat belts on buses where they are fitted

Most trips start at an airport

Whatever follows, the arrival transfer comes first. The rules below apply to it.

Questions

Can one booking cover several days?

Yes. Send the whole programme. Driving and rest rules apply across the week, so the operator plans the days together.

Is a guide included?

The booking covers the vehicle and the driver. If you need a guide, say so in the request and we will tell you whether one can be added.

What if my trip does not fit a category?

Describe it anyway. Every quote is built from your plan, not from a package.
