Group transfers from Dublin Airport (DUB)
At Dublin Airport a pre-booked coach cannot pull up at the arrivals door. Knowing where it waits, and how your group gets there with its bags, is most of the plan.
Zone 16 is the only pick-up point for a hired coach
Private-hire and other non-scheduled coach operators collect passengers only at the Zone 16 coach park. The stops in Zones 1, 2, 10-15, 20 and 21 belong to scheduled services that won them by tender, so a hired coach cannot use them, not even for a quick load. Your group walks from arrivals to Zone 16 with its luggage. Warn anyone who is slow on their feet before they travel.
Dublin Airport has two terminals. Give the operator the terminal for every flight in the group, and ask on the quote whether the driver comes into the arrivals hall to meet people or waits at the coach.

When a flight runs late
Coaches may not park in set-down areas, and engines must be switched off whenever a coach is parked. If a flight is delayed, the coach can lay over for up to 3 hours at the Express Red Coach Layover facility instead of circling. Send flight numbers rather than landing times, so the operator can follow each flight and release the driver when it is actually on the ground.
Groups landing on several flights need a decision in advance: one pick-up after the last flight, or two runs. Put that choice on the quote.

Departures: set-down outside Terminal 2
Going home is simpler. Any coach operator may set down passengers on the T2 Departures Road Inner, directly outside Terminal 2 check-in. Passengers flying from Terminal 1 walk across from there. The coach cannot stay at the kerb, so have everyone ready to lift their bags out and go.
Into Dublin and further afield
The city centre is about 10-12 km by road, 20-45 minutes depending on traffic. City-centre bus gates, including the 24-hour one at College Green, shape the final approach, so give the operator a hotel address, not just an area.
Dublin Airport is also the nearest airport for Drogheda, Dundalk and Bray, the first listed airport for Kilkenny and Wexford, and a second option for Athlone, Sligo and Waterford.
Luggage decides the vehicle
Count cases as well as people. A full-size coach carries bags in underfloor bays; a minibus has only a rear compartment, which fills fast when everyone has a large case. For eight passengers or fewer, the car or van must be an NTA-licensed hackney or limousine, pre-booked with the fare agreed in advance.

How long is the drive to Dublin city centre?
About 10-12 km, usually 20-45 minutes. Rush hour and the city-centre bus gates add time.
