Transport for golf groups
A golf group travels with more luggage than almost any other party: a bag of clubs each, plus cases for the week. Early tee times and several courses in a row shape the rest of the plan.
Choose the vehicle for the bags
Golf bags are long and do not stack like suitcases. An executive van seats up to 7, but its rear space shrinks when every seat row is in use, so seven golfers with clubs and cases may not fit in one. A midi coach with underfloor bays often carries a mid-size group and its clubs more comfortably than a full minibus. Tell the operator how many golf bags and cases there are, and whether travel covers are hard or soft.
Early starts
The club sets the tee time, and a 07:30 start means a hotel pickup well before it, with time to load bags. Agree each day's pickup before the trip begins, and add a buffer on the first morning, when every bag goes on board for the first time.

Keeping one driver for the whole tour
On a single occasional passenger service, a driver may postpone the weekly rest for up to 12 consecutive 24-hour periods. That lets one driver stay with a golf tour of up to twelve days. The driver needs a regular weekly rest before the trip and two weekly rests, totalling at least 90 hours, after it. The daily rules still hold, including a 45-minute break after 4.5 hours of driving, so long transfers between courses need planning.
Ryder Cup week, 2027
The 2027 Ryder Cup is at Adare Manor in County Limerick, with competition on 17-19 September 2027. Adare village is about 18 km from Limerick city, some 25 minutes by road, and Shannon Airport is about 25 km west of the city. Hotel bases include Adare, Limerick city and Bunratty. Expect heavy demand that week and ask early.
