Book Ireland Coach

Coach Hire Across Ireland, Driver Included

Tell us the group size, the dates and every stop on the day. We hand the job to a licensed, insured operator that has the right coach and driver free, and you get one written quote for the whole trip.

A booking service, not a coach company

We arrange coach, minibus and car hire with a driver. We do not own vehicles and we do not employ drivers. Each trip is run by a licensed, insured operator that supplies both the vehicle and the person behind the wheel. Our part is to match your plan to an operator that can run it, have it priced, and keep the booking details in one place.

You receive one written quote per trip. It names the vehicle type, the hours, the route and the cancellation terms that operator sets. Nothing is charged until you accept it, and you are free to turn it down.

Dublin is strict about where a coach stops

The council's on-street coach bays allow a maximum stay of two hours and are not for loading or unloading passengers. Groups get on and off at the signed coach stops, such as Nassau Street. Longer waits usually go to the NTA Docklands Coach Park off North Wall Quay.

Bus gates on Bachelors Walk and Aston Quay close the central quays to through traffic from 07:00 to 19:00, and the College Green bus gate never switches off. A hotel on one side of the Liffey and a dinner on the other can mean a longer loop than the map suggests, so give exact addresses rather than an area.

Tolls, tunnels and the M50

The M50 toll between Junctions 6 and 7 has no booths. The charge is paid by 20:00 the next day unless the vehicle has a tag or an account. The Dublin Port Tunnel is free for coaches with more than 25 passenger seats. Elsewhere, the tunnel under the Shannon at Limerick, the N25 bypass at Waterford and toll points on the M1, M4, M7 and M8 sit on common coach routes. Where your route crosses a toll, the quote shows it.

Drive times fill a day faster than you expect

Dublin to Kilkenny is about 1.5 hours by road. Galway to the Cliffs of Moher is about the same, and every coach arriving at the cliffs has to book in advance. Dublin Airport to Letterkenny is about 3 hours. At Brú na Bóinne, groups of 15 to 30 need a pre-booked time slot and reach the tombs by shuttle from the visitor centre. Allow for comfort stops, and remember that EU rules on driving time and rest limit one driver's day. A long itinerary may need a second driver or an overnight stop.

When a full-size coach is too much

Coach hire is what most groups book with us, but it is not always the right fit. A midi-coach handles tighter town streets. A minibus or a people carrier for up to seven suits a small party, an executive car a single guest at the airport, and an accessible minibus a passenger who travels in a wheelchair.

Questions

Are you the company that runs the coach?

No. A licensed, insured operator runs every trip and employs the driver. We arrange the booking and remain your contact for it.

When do I pay?

Only after you accept the written quote, and then by card via the site's payment provider.

What if I need to cancel?

The operator sets the cancellation terms, and they are written on your quote. Read them before you say yes.

Which parts of Ireland do you cover?

Sixteen cities and towns have their own pages, from Dublin, Cork and Galway to Letterkenny, Tralee and Bray. Trips starting elsewhere in the Republic can still be requested.
