Coaches and minibuses at Cobh Cruise Terminal
At Cobh, passengers step ashore onto the quayside beside the Cobh Heritage Centre, in the middle of a harbour town. The first question is whether your ship is at Cobh at all, or across the harbour.
Cobh, Ringaskiddy or the city quays
The Port of Cork handles cruise ships in three places: the dedicated 350 m berth at Cobh Cruise Terminal, Ringaskiddy Deepwater Quay for ships up to 360 m, and the Cork City Quays for smaller ships up to 152 m. Pick-up points and drive times differ, so confirm the berth before you ask for a quote.
Ringaskiddy is on the other side of the harbour from Cobh. The port suggests that independent travellers take a bus or taxi to Carrigaloe station and then the train, or the cross-river ferry at Passage West. A booked coach takes a group straight past that detour.

Timing the day against all-aboard
Cork city is about 18 km inland. From the city, Blarney is about 20 minutes, Midleton about 25 and Kinsale about 30. Killarney is about 1.5 h from Cork and the Rock of Cashel about 1.25 h, which makes either one a long day on a port call. Count back from all-aboard, add time for loading and a headcount, and choose the destination to fit.

Some of the harbour needs no coach at all. Spike Island is reached by ferry from Cobh, and the Titanic Experience Cobh is in the town.
